St. Marie Victoire Thérèse Couderc

“Let me live by love, let me die of love, and let my last heartbeat be an act of the most perfect love.”

St. Marie Victoire Thérèse Couderc

Jesus said that the greatest commandment is: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind". He also emphasized the importance of loving your neighbor as yourself, stating that "There is no other commandment greater than these".

St. Marie exemplified this love and goodness in all her endeavors, embracing a life filled with compassion and virtue. Her profound connection to God was evident in the way she wholeheartedly dedicated herself to serving others. Therese experienced a pivotal moment in 1866 when she had a transformative vision. In this vision, she beheld the entirety of creation - every living being and inanimate object, imbued with the word "Goodness" shining in radiant gold letters. This revelation deeply touched her soul, leading her to perceive the inherent goodness present in every aspect of God's creation. St. Marie's heart overflowed with gratitude and reverence, understanding the divine blessing that permeates all existence. Despite facing unjust accusations and humiliations, she remained steadfast in her faith, embodying profound respect and unwavering obedience to God. Her life ended on 26th September 1885, leaving behind a legacy of faith and self-surrender.

St. Thérèse, we humbly seek your intercession to help us embrace God's will in our lives with the same fervor and devotion that defined your journey.
